Paper documents as one PDF

Before a document leaves your hands, Redact PDF blacks out what others should not see, Protect PDF adds a password, and Remove PDF metadata clears the author name and dates hidden in the file. For photos, remove the location first.

Your file is uploaded to our server (France) and processed in an isolated container. Job cleanup is scheduled 60 min after job creation. Technical failures may delay deletion.

The server never receives your file name and never writes file contents to its logs.

Questions and answers
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no paid plan, no trial and no account. The cloud tools have fair-use limits so that they stay available for everyone.
Do my files get uploaded?
Most tools never upload anything: the file is processed in an isolated frame of your browser that has no network access. A few tools, mainly the Office converters, need our server. They say so up front and send nothing until you press the button.
What happens to files sent to the server?
Server processing uses a separate container and scheduled cleanup. See Privacy and security for retention and technical limits.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Everything runs in a current browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android or iOS. Very large files are easier on a computer, because a phone has less memory.
How can I check that a file stays on my device?
Use the Network panel to inspect requests during on-device processing. This checks the current session; it is not a complete security audit.
